3- The socioeconomic performance of agroecology. A review

Agroecology is identified as an important solution to increase the sustainability of agricultural and food systems. Despite the increasing number of publications assessing the socio-economic outcomes of agroecology, very few studies have consolidated the scattered results obtained on various case studies. This paper provides new insights by consolidating evidence on the varied socio-economic effects of agroecology across a large number of cases at a global level.

 
11- The Africa Integrated Climate Risk Management Programme

The programme will build, strengthen and scale up the resilience and adaptive capacities of smallholder farmers and rural communities of seven least developed countries (LDCs) in this region. It will provide capacity building and institutional development on integrated climate risks management. This includes reducing obstacles to access agricultural insurance for governments and smallholder farmers to enhance resilience building, and strengthening climate weather information services.

 
9- State and Trends in Climate Adaptation Finance 2023

Climate change impacts globally have increased the urgency for ambitious action on adaptation. This is especially the case in the world’s most vulnerable regions, including Africa. This report covers global status and trends of adaptation finance and provides a deeper analysis of Africa at a regional level, given the heightened adaptation needs and opportunities on the continent.

 
8- The climate crisis is unjust for rural women: FAO gender expert

Rural communities worldwide are grappling with escalating challenges brought on by the climate crisis. As disasters become more frequent and severe, and environmental conditions grow harsher, the burden on these communities intensifies. However, it is women who are bearing the heaviest brunt of these impacts, including significant financial losses.
