“Behavioural Grooves is the podcast that satisfies your curiosity of why we do what we do”. Created by Kurt Nelson and Tim Houlihan, this podcast aims to create a community of people who are interested in learning how to positively apply behavioural science to their work and life.

In the paper ‘Social media and mental health’, the authors provide an estimate of the impact of social media on students’ mental health. Using survey data on students’ wellbeing, they highlight the negative impact of the introduction of Facebook across US colleges. The main driver behind this decline in students’ mental health seems to be the increased availability of unfavourable social comparisons offered by social media.
