KNOWLEDGE4POLICY - Science supporting EU policy throughout 2021

2021 was a busy year for the Knowledge Centre on Migration and Demography (KCMD). We launched a brand new Atlas of Demography to support the efforts across the Commission to take demographic change into account in EU policy-making. A series of new data stories is being launched gradually in the Atlas, so keep an eye on it in the months to come!

We have just also revised our Atlas of Migration, extending its coverage to new regions.

In addition to the constant updating and enriching of our data tools, the KCMD has provided support to EU policy throughout the year. From quantifying the impact of climate change on migration to assessing the tracking demographic change and exploring the potential of data innovation, our scientists work hand in hand with EU policy-makers to provide the best possible scientific basis for EU initiatives.
