The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, together with the EU Delegation in Cabo Verde, organised a major Horizon 2020 training event on Wednesday 21 November 2018 in Praia, which brought together local researchers and scientists who will be shaping the future of research cooperation between the EU and Cabo Verde. The event was the first in a week dedicated to marine research and innovation cooperation, including the signature of the so-called ‘Mindelo Arrangement’. The training day was the third in a series of successful EU-Cabo Verde Horizon 2020 events, the first two having taken place earlier in the year. It also supplements EU-Cabo Verde cooperation across a number of policy areas, such as sustainable fishing and the Africa-Europe alliance for sustainable investment and jobs.
