Public attitudes toward aid. What resonates with the public in a pandemic?

In this conference, the Development Engagement Lab will offer the latest data in an attempt to answer the question: How has COVID-19 changed the way the public view the work of international development? We will examine levels of public trust in aid instititutions as well as politicians and the media, and examine how organisations can tackle misinformation in the COVID-19 era. Finally, we will offer the results of our recent message testing, whereby we analyse the impact of various aid and COVID-related messages on the public.
