Commissioner Piebalgs statement on the European Year for Development
2015 has officially been confirmed as the European Year of Development as the final greenlight was given by the Foreign Affairs Council 
on April 14.
This was the only step missing and as Commissioner for Development, I could not be happier that the initiative has received full inter-institutional support.
Now, however, it is when the real work starts and I hope that this year will be a success in showing the impact and benefits of our Development Aid.
