HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway reflects on development challenges and the Millennium Development Goals - "Development and Dignity"

Crown Prince Haakon of NorwayOn December 8, a week before European Development Days are to be held in Poland's capital, the Norwegian Crown Prince gives a Kapuscinski lecture on development issues at the University of Warsaw. The Crown Prince has been a Goodwill Ambassador for UNDP since 2003 and he has seen how the organization is providing development support in countries like Mongolia, Sierra Leone and Guatemala. Based on experiences from past mission with UNDP, a central theme in the speech will be reflections on what is needed to make progress towards achieving the MDGs. The Crown Prince has in the past also been part of the panel of judges that selects the recipients of the UNDP Awards for Human Development. With the participation of the EU' representation to Poland.
