Lorenzo Natali Prize for Journalism

The Lorenzo Natali Award Ceremony will take place on 6 December 2010 in Brussels during the European Development Days.

On World Press Freedom Day earlier this year the European Commissioner for Development, Andris Piebalgs announced the launch of the Lorenzo Natali 2010 Prize for Journalism. This year’s edition was a great success, since there were more than 1000 entries from all around the world.

The Natali Prize is an international prize awarded each year since 1992 to the best journalistic work on development, democracy and human rights. It is open to journalists working in TV, radio, the press and online. Prizes worth a total of €60 000 will be awarded to the above mentioned journalists in different sections.
