MDG Summit in New York – day 2

The EU is major donor of aid in the world, contributing 56% to global aid. However, the progress on achieving the Millennium Development Goals is still mixed and the geographical performance varies. The EU and the Commission have demonstrated its commitment to stand side by side with developing countries by offering up to 1 billion Euro to the most committed and in need developing countries to support their efforts in achieving the MDGs.
