International Health Day - when EU money makes better lives for Nigerians
On the International Health Day, we wanted you to read the stories of Memuna, a Nigerian mother whose life has changed thanks to the PRIME project which supported immunisation for children under five. See also the role of Mallam Haruna Abubakar Gwandu and Abdulnaseer Sani Argungu in building trust in the community and bring people to use the vaccination. This is just one example amongst others, but it shows that, when money meets political and cultural will, things can move. This is encouraging at a times when the Millennium Development Goals on Health are the ones the most lagging behind. The Commission will come with some proposals on 21st april to send a wake up call to Europe.
