Dear colleagues,

Welcome to the third edition of the Learning Lab Newsletter.
This issue places a strong emphasis on data, with a focus on administrative data - inspired by Nobel Laureate David Card’s recent visit - and survey data, explored in our Learning Lab interview with Dr Christian Christrup Kjeldsen, Chair of the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA).

We also recap recent Learning Lab activities, preview upcoming events, and feature two research articles applying counterfactual impact evaluation (CIE) methods to assess education policies.

Read on to learn more about the latest work of the European Commission’s Learning Lab on Investing in Quality Education and Training!

Subsequent editions of this newsletter will be delivered quarterly to your mailbox.
