The Eleventh Summer School on Sensitivity Analysis of Model Output (SAMO 2020)

This Eleventh Summer School on Sensitivity Analysis, organised by the Joint Research Centre (Ispra, Italy) and the Department of Economics and Management of the Parma University (Parma, Italy), aims to illustrate the motivations to conduct Sensitivity Analysis on simulation models, offering accessible treatment of the techniques used in Global Sensitivity Analysis. The programme will start from the first principles and will guide the students through the full range of recommended practices with exercises and application examples.

Programme

The scientific programme covers topics such as: introduction to sensitivity analysis and overview of techniques, uncertainty analysis, sensitivity analysis, graphical methods, derivative-based measures, high dimensional model representations, variance-based and screening methods, polynomial chaos expansions, sensitivity analysis with given data, sensitivity measures for correlated inputs, practicum, exercises for students, round table with selected case studies from students.

The school will be held in the building of the department of Economics and Management of the Parma University, Via John Kennedy, 6, 43125 Parma (PR), Italy

Registration

The school can accommodate up to 25 participants. Candidates will be selected on the base of their CV and motivation letter. Successful candidates will be informed not later than 31 January 2020.

The school is free. The students will have to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.

Deadlines

The deadline for submitting applications is 12 January 2020. The organising committee will not accept late candidatures.
