You can submit your complaint to Solvit by the on-line complaint form
Before you submit a case to SOLVIT, please read this information carefully:
-
You are encouraged to read the SOLVIT privacy statement concerning your personal data before you submit them.
-
Please note that when deadlines under national law need to be respected to maintain your rights, submitting a case to SOLVIT has no effect on these deadlines. For instance, where national law allows you to appeal against an administrative decision within three months, you can complain to SOLVIT about the decision but you should also launch the appeal within the deadline if you do not want to lose that formal right.
-
SOLVIT is not an information or legal advice network.
(For information or advice on your rights in Europe click here. Please note that if you are a citizen requesting advice on your rights, we will transfer your question to our partner network Your Europe Advice)
-
SOLVIT does not deal with problems between businesses or between consumers and businesses, nor with complaints about EU institutions.
(For networks that deal with problems outside the scope of SOLVIT click here).
-
SOLVIT only handles problems with a cross-border element that are due to bad application of EU law by public authorities within the EU member states.

If you prefer to use e-mail, fax or post, you can find the form and addresses here.
Policy statement on handling cases submitted by intermediaries
The services provided by SOLVIT are free of charge. SOLVIT will handle complaints submitted by citizens or businesses, or by intermediaries acting on their behalf. In the latter case, where intermediaries charge their clients for the services they provide, SOLVIT may insist that the client is made aware of the use of the free SOLVIT service and may want to contact the client directly. Moreover, if the intermediary is a legal consultant, SOLVIT may insist that complaints are submitted with a legal analysis and a complete description of the relevant facts. SOLVIT may refuse to handle cases where these criteria are not or cannot be fulfilled.
