Youth@Work

Youth@Work is an awareness-raising campaign to build contacts between young people and small businesses (SMEs). The aim is to:

help young jobseekers find jobs in SMEs and rapidly gain experience and skills
raise awareness among small businesses about the potential benefits of recruiting inventive, dynamic young people
make young people aware of the existing tools that can help them become self employed or set up their own business

Methods

The campaign will reach out to young people and SMEs through information sessions organised:

on topics such as networking, mentoring and recruitment
at job fairs and similar events across the EU until May 2012
with the support and advice from the EURES network of employment advisors and the national public employment services

The campaign was launched at the European job fair in Budapest in April 2011. It is part of the Youth on the Move initiative.
