Almost €100 million for supporting Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria thanks to EU funds
Bulgaria welcomes a significant number of people fleeing the war in Ukraine and supports them with food, accommodation and basic material assistance, such as clothes or hygiene products. To fund these exceptional expenses, the European Union introduced the Cohesion’s Action for Refugees in Europe (CARE) initiative.

ESF+ project helps Ukrainian refugees rebuild their lives in Poland
The project ‘Przystań Centre for Social Integration in Łapy project’, co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF+), was initially developed to help unemployed Polish people to find work, having successfully helped 90 Polish residents find jobs. However, with the onset of war, it was expanded to support 20 Ukrainians who are rebuilding their life in Poland.
