"The European Statistics Day underlines the value of official statistics as a pillar of our democratic societies.

On this Day, the European statistical community comes together to celebrate official statistics as a source of independent, objective and trustworthy information and a means to empower organisations, businesses and citizens in their decision-making.

On this occasion, we reaffirm our commitment to serve Europeans as best we can by innovating and modernising the ways in which we collect, produce and communicate our European official statistics."

“The European Statistics Day is an excellent opportunity to engage as official statisticians with stakeholders underlining that we are the trusted partner safeguarding quality statistics in order to crowd out disinformation in public debates.”

"The European Statistics Day is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the importance of statistics as the main means of correctly understanding reality, distinguishing it from disinformation.

It helps you decide after having been properly informed. Do not underestimate the fundamental right to have "better data" to have “better lives!"

This year we warmly endorse the motto: "Statistics to understand and connect to society, in the search for truth!”
