It is also a day to extend special thanks to all colleagues across Europe who have chosen statistics as their profession. Happy European Statistics Day, dear colleagues!'

Director General of Statistics, European Central Bank
‘European Statistics Day is a moment to celebrate the indispensable role that official statistics play in shaping our understanding of society. Reliable and objective data are at the heart of informed decision-making. They provide a clear window into the complexities of our world, enabling governments, businesses, citizens, and central banks to make sound, evidence-based decisions. On this day, we recognize the dedication of those who ensure that official statistics remain a trusted resource for all of us.’

Chair, European Statistical Advisory Committee (ESAC)
‘In an increasingly complex world, both technologically and socially, official statistics are a dynamic window through which all citizens can better understand society and find the evidence-based support to plan for a collective future.’
