Legislation in force
The EC regulation 223/2009 on European statistics (consolidated version), amended in April 2015 by EU regulation 2015/759, provides the legal basis for the European Statistical System (ESS). It outlines the way the ESS should be organised , the main duties of its members and provide a framework to develop, produce and disseminate European statistics based on common statistical principles.
