Institute of Statistics is pleased to present to the users the Statistical Yearbook 2012-2016. This publication is an extensive overview of the most important statistical indicators. The Statistical Yearbook provides an overview of the current socio-economic situation of Albanian society,dedicated to the all users of statistical data, decision-makers, administrators, community businesses, researchers etc. This publication comes in a format that follows the example and experience of European countries.
The main purpose is to provide a full summary of social and economic statistics in a single volume for a period of 5 years. The statistics presented in the Statistical Yearbook were issued by the specialized sectors of the Institute of Statistics. In this edition of 177 pages are summarized statistical data and indicators for economy, environment, agriculture etc. Divided into 18 chapters the users can find a combination of text tables and graphs,to make this publication more understandable.

Primary production of electricity in Montenegro in 2016 was 1 809.4 GWh, transformation output was 1 216.2 GWh. Total import of electricity was 1 209.8 GWh and total export was 905.9 GWh. Consumption of the energy branch was 118.0 GWh and distribution losses 540.7 GWh.
Balance of coal 2016
Primary production of coal in Montenegro in 2016 was 1 397.5 thousand tons, 47.8 thousand tons brown coal and 1 349.7 thousand tons of lignite. Total final consumption of coal in 2016 was 54.6 thousand tons, 28.0 thousand tons consumed in industry, while 26.6 thousand tons consumed in other sectors. For electricity production, as transformation input was used 1 259.3 thousand tons lignite.
Total final consumption of oil products in Montenegro in 2016 was 325.8 thousand tons, of which was consumed in transport sector 229.7 thousand tons, in industry 46.5 thousand tons, in other sectors was consumed 13.1 thousand tons and non-energy consumption of oil products was 36.5 thousand tons.
Primary production from firewood and wood resideu in Montenegro in 2016 was 837 922 m3, wood chips 15 585 tons and wood briquettes and wood pellets was 23 022 tons. Final consumption firewood in households was 645 253 m3, in industry 41 583 m3 and other sectors 19 168 m3.
European statistical programme
Regulation (EC) No 223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 2009 on European statistics constitutes the legal basis for the preparation of the European statistical programme, providing the framework for the development, production and dissemination of European statistics. The current programme was established by Regulation (EU) No 99/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 January 2013 on the European statistical programme for the period 2013 to 2017. It has been extended to 2020 by Regulation (EU) 1951/2017 2017/1951 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2017.
The multi-annual programme is implemented by annual programmes setting more detailed objectives and outputs for each year.
The Commission has adopted the work programme 2018 for the implementation of the European statistical programme 2013-2020 on 19 December 2017.
Trade companies with increases of 3.0% in turnover and 3.5% in the commercial margin.
Trade enterprises Turnover raised, especially the trade and repair of vehicles sub sector.
Statistics Portugal disseminates the publication “Trade Statistics 2016”, with the main statistical findings regarding the activity of trade enterprises and establishments. Complementing the data now made available, a further set of data is also available at the Database of Statistics Portugal´s Portal in theme Domestic Trade.
On July 10, 2017, the Ministry of Science issued a license for work to the Statistical Office for carrying out scientific and research activities in the field of social sciences.
Statistical Office of Montenegro - MONSTAT is the competent authority for the production of official statistics. MONSTAT's role as the main coordinator of official statistics in the Montenegrin statistical system has been recognized by domestic and international public.
The 2017 edition of the statistical book 'Agriculture, forestry and fishery statistics' includes a broad range of data to help assess developments related to agriculture, forestry and fishery policies as well as their impact on the environment.
This edition shows, for instance, that women working in agriculture accounted for 35% of the total working population in the European Union in 2016. Women made up more than 40 % of the agricultural workforce in five Member States, namely Austria (45 %), Romania (43 %) Poland, Greece and Slovenia (41 % in each of three countries). By contrast, the lowest proportions of women farmers were reported in Denmark (20 %) and Ireland (12 %).
The European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS) continues with online webinar series. 2018 EMOS webinar progamme covers 12 sessions of 60 minutes each and will be running roughly twice a month on Wednesdays 16:15–17:30 CET from January to June 2018. The webinars will offer a variety of topics with speakers from Eurostat, EMOS Master programmes, National Statistical Institutes as well as Central Banks.

Adult education and training in Portugal: a statistical portrait of a decade – 2016
Statistics Portugal publishes the results of the 2016 Adult Education Survey (AES), the third wave of this statistical operation (following the 2007 and 2011 waves), conducted in all Member States of the European Union (EU-28). This dissemination includes a comparative study of the 2007 and 2016 data for the common age group (population aged 18-64) and a set of indicators that describes the developments in education, training and adult learning between 2007 and 2016,
Statistical Office of Montenegro has become a partner in the Statistical Modernisation Community along with 16 other national and international statistical organisations.
The Statistical Modernisation Community is a collaborative partnership, created as an initiative of the UNECE High-Level Group for the Modernisation of Official Statistics (HLG-MOS). The HLG-MOS oversees modernisation projects and manages the models and tools needed to support modernisation in statistical organisations. It aims to improve the efficiency of statistical production, and help statistical organisations to produce outputs that better meet user needs.
The Central Statistics Office publication, “Trade Statistics September 2017”, provides data on the movement of goods, exports and imports, between countries. Trade in Goods statistics in this publication are a combination of Customs-based non-EU trade statistics and the Intrastat survey of Irish traders involved in trade with other EU member states.
