Image standards
Guidelines
- Each image must have 72dpi resolution
- Name of the image must be consistent with the image
- Alt text must descriptive to fit to the WAI
- Size of the image must be respected (see the sizes in the table below)
Formats
- JPG should be used for photographs
- PNG should be used for illustrations and pictures with transparency
- SVG is strongly recommended to be used for vector pictures such as static infographics as there is no loss of quality
