Visualisation tools
If you need assistance to check the accessibility of your tool, please contact ESTAT WEB CONTENT. The list below is not exhaustive and needs to be complemented by a case-by-case audit of each tool!
Tooltip
- Background colour should be white without transparency
- Font colour should be black;
- EU should be written in full (European Union) in the tooltip title or list (same for EA / Euro area). The code EU / EA will be used in the axes and legends;
- The unit (%, Mtoe, etc.) will always be added after the value. A space will separate the value and the unit
Links
- Links must be underlined, for example for "Source: Eurostat - access to dataset"
- Links must open in the same window / tab
Punctuation / Typography
- A simple hyphen must be used instead of a dash, for example for "Source: Eurostat - access to dataset"; some screen readers might read a longer dash (en-dash) as ‘minus’.
