Corporate rules
All web content has to respect the coporate rules of DG COMM.
Creation of new websites, tools, applications
In line with DG COMM rules, all new URLs need to be approved by DG COMM before a project starts during the inception phase, this also applies when the work is done by or in collaboration with a contractor or Eurostat is co-hosting.
Please note: This does not apply to new URLs for webpages on the Eurostat website nor Statistics Explained articles!
If you wish to request a new URL, website, tool etc.
- please carefully read the web request rules
- fill in the web request form
- send the form to ESTAT WEB CONTENT in Unit B4
- web content team will coordinate between requesting unit, the IT portfolio manager (A1), and Eurostat’s communication unit (DG01) to check the request and if needed, request further details
- if approved, the HoU from DG01 will send the request to DG COMM
DG COMM will either reply with its approval / comments or will call for a meeting or further information within 5 working days.
Please allow enough time for the whole procedure
Since 2005, the EU institutions must use the Europa domain for their online communication as it is the only way the audience can know a website is an official site of an EU institution or body.
