The 2020 edition of the publication ‘Energy, transport and environment statistics’ is released today. As the name suggests, the publication consists of three parts: Energy, transport and environment, three fields that form a large part of the Green Deal policy of the European Commission. In order to design, implement and monitor this EU policy, there is a need for high quality statistics within these fields – this is what you can find in this publication.
The first chapter deals with energy statistics presenting topics such as energy production, trade and dependency, consumption, savings, efficiency and intensity, energy prices, electricity and natural gas markets, renewable energy, electricity generation and consumption as well as oil and petroleum products.
