The European Commission has on 28 January 2010 sent a reasoned opinion to Poland for incorrectly implementing EU rules prohibiting discrimination based on religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation in employment and occupation (Directive 2000/78/EC, see also MEMO/08/69).

Gender equality rules: reasoned opinions to Italy and UK; case closed in Luxembourg
The Commission has on 28 January 2010 sent reasoned opinions to Italy and the United Kingdom for non-communication of national legislation to implement EU rules prohibiting gender discrimination in employment and occupation (2006/54/EC).

Η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή έστειλε σήμερα προειδοποιητική επιστολή στην Ελλάδα λόγω του γεγονότος ότι η Ελλάδα δεν έλαβε συγκεκριμένα μέτρα σύμφωνα με την απόφαση του Δικαστηρίου της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης που εκδόθηκε πέρυσι για την ηλικία συνταξιοδότησης των δημοσίων υπαλλήλων (υπόθεση C-559/07).
