The industrial turnover in the EU has slightly decreased since October 2022 but remains historically high in the first half of 2024.

The steady increase in industrial turnover, ongoing since 2013, was disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic in February 2020, leading to a decline of over one-third within 2 months. There was a rapid but partial recovery by July 2020, followed by a period of growth from July 2020 to October 2022, to a large extent driven by rising prices.
