Did you know that Eurostat also has statistics on the trade in fireworks in the European Union? In 2018, the European Union (EU) imported 128 000 tonnes of fireworks, worth €319 million.
99% of the total volume of imports of fireworks (127 000 tonnes) came from China.

From the total imports, over three-quarters (77%) went to four EU Member States. In top place was Germany (43 000 tonnes, 34%), followed by the Netherlands (31 000 tonnes, 24%), Poland (16 000, 12%) and the United Kingdom (10 000 tonnes, 8%).
