McDonald's joins EAfA, pledging to create 43,000 apprenticeships in Europe by 2025
These apprenticeships will combine workplace training and study, allowing people to learn, acquire work experience and earn money at the same time.

European Alliance for Apprenticeships takes stock of achievements
A high-level event of the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA) was held on 30 – 31 May in Malta, organised by the European Commission in cooperation with the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and supported by the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology and the Malta Chamber of Commerce. The event was dedicated to celebrating the four successful years of activity of the Alliance since it was first launched in 2013. The purpose of the conference was to take stock of the achievements of the Alliance while also showing its way forward.

Closing ceremony of the first European Vocational Skills Week
The closing ceremony of the first European Vocational Skills Week on Friday, 9 December 2016 gathered some 600 participants from Vocational Education and Training, business, social partners, chambers of commerce, civil society, think tanks, research bodies and public authorities. More than 900 activities and events registered as part of the Week took place between September and December all over Europe.

The Commission and business leaders partner up to boost youth employment and inclusion in Europe
Today at the Enterprise 2020 Summit, the European Commission and business leaders launched the 'European Pact for Youth' to improve partnerships between business and education to boost the chances of young people getting jobs.
