Back The ESS handbook for quality reports - 2014 edition

The ESS Handbook for Quality Reports aims to promote harmonised quality reporting across statistical processes and Member States, and hence to facilitate cross-comparisons of processes and outputs. The Handbook is applicable to Eurostat, to National Statistical Institutes and to Other National Authorities in their roles as producers, compilers and disseminators of European statistics. The Handbook supports compliance with the European Statistics Code of Practice by providing recommendations on how to prepare comprehensive quality reports for the full range of statistical processes and their outputs. It also provides detailed guidelines and examples of quality reporting practices. The 2014 edition of the Handbook updates the previous, 2009, edition by actualising the content on quality and quality reporting and by including the latest achievements in this field: the outcomes of the work of the Sponsorship on Quality (revision of the standard quality indicators) as well as of the specific ESS Task Force on Quality Reporting (development of the Single Integrated Metadata Structure – SIMS and revision of the Handbook's content).
