Statistical regions in the EFTA countries and the candidate countries - Products Manuals and Guidelines

'Statistical regions' is a classification of regions which consists of three different levels. The scope is the ten central European countries which are going to join negotiating about membership in the EU and the four EFTA countries. The regions presented in this document have been defined according to principles similar to those used in the establishment of the community nomenclature of territorial units for statistics (NUTS). The coding system is also similar to the NUTS. Maps showing the boundaries of the statistical regions in each country are included in the publication.
