European Statistics Day
20 octobre: Journée européenne de la statistique
La communauté de la statistique européenne célèbre la journée européenne de la statistique le 20 octobre. Cette journée a été instaurée par le comité consultatif européen de la statistique (ESAC) et bénéficie du soutien du système statistique européen (SSE) et du système européen de banques centrales.
Elle a été fêtée pour la première fois le 20 octobre 2016 à Budapest, à l'occasion de la deuxième conférence des acteurs de la statistique européenne (CESS).

Journée européenne de la statistique 2024
La 9e Journée européenne de la statistique a été célébrée sous la devise suivante formulée par l'ESAC: «Les statistiques officielles, une fenêtre pour comprendre la société» (Official Statistics, a window for understanding society).
ESAC a adopté une déclaration pour la Journée européenne de la statistique 2024 (en anglais) lors de sa 44e réunion, les 13 et 14 juin 2024.

La 8e Journée européenne de la statistique s'est tenue sous la devise «Les statistiques pour un meilleur développement dans un monde en évolution rapide» (Statistics for better development in a fast-changing world).
L'ESAC a adopté une déclaration pour la journée européenne de la statistique 2023 (en anglais) lors de sa 40e réunion, le 27 juin 2023.
La 7e Journée européenne de la statistique s'est déroulée sous la devise «Statistics to understand and connect to society, in the search for truth!» (Des statistiques pour créer des liens avec la société et la comprendre, en quête de vérité!), telle que formulée par l'ESAC.
L'ESAC a publié un communiqué (en anglais) sur le renforcement du rôle central des statistiques en tant que moteur principal de la cohésion sociale, du bien-être et de la protection contre la désinformation.
Le comité a également organisé la conférence des acteurs de la statistique européenne à Rome en octobre 2022, sous l'intitulé «The European Data Ecosystem for the Statistical Information of the Digital Age» (L'écosystème des données européennes pour les informations statistiques à l'ère du numérique).
La conférence était organisée selon un format hybride et coorganisée par:
