The latest episode (14) of the Eurostat podcast series Stats in a Wrap will discuss one of the pressing issues of today’s information society: the quality of data and information and how to maintain it at a high level.

For this, host Jonathan Elliot is joined by Claudia Junker, head of the unit Task Force Peer Reviews and quality, Dean Vuletic, member of the same task force and expert on the Eurovision Song Contest, and Francesca Cimino, media analyst from the European Broadcasting Union, which produces the contest.

If at first both elements, Eurostat and Eurovision, seem unrelated, you will be surprised by how much they have in common, and that is data. The European Broadcasting Union, which organizes the Eurovision Song Contest, researches audience data to understand how people consume and use media from public service broadcasters in 56 countries. Like Eurostat, this also requires high standards for data quality.

Join us on an interesting episode covering data quality, pop music and the history of the Eurovision Song Contest.

The opinions expressed in the podcasts reflect solely the point of view of the speakers and can in no way be taken to reflect the position of Eurostat, the European Commission, or the European Union.
