EU current account surplus €110.3 bn

Household saving rate up to 19.8% in the euro area
The household saving rate in the euro area was at 19.8% in the fourth quarter of 2020, compared with 17.3% in the third quarter of 2020. It is the second highest value since the beginning of the time series in 1999 (the highest was 25.0% in the second quarter of 2020). more

House prices up by 5.4% in the euro area
In the fourth quarter of 2020, house prices, as measured by the House Price Index, rose by 5.4% in the euro area and by 5.7% in the EU compared with the same quarter of the previous year. Industrial producer prices up by 0.5% in the euro area and by 0.7% in the EU
In February 2021, industrial producer prices rose by 0.5% in the euro area and by 0.7% the EU, compared with January 2021, according to estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In January 2021, prices increased by 1.7% in the euro area and by 1.6% the EU. more
