Reducing our energy consumption and increasing energy efficiency are among the EU’s top priorities and key for
the green transition. Common indicator 1 captures the reduction in annual energy consumption achieved with RRF
support.
Examples are reductions of energy consumption in buildings, schools, hospitals or in enterprises.
The indicator contributes to pillar 1 (green transition) and pillar 3 (smart, sustainable and inclusive
growth).
This graph shows the savings in annual primary energy consumption in MWh per year. This indicator is a stock indicator, which means that numbers are added cumulatively, and its values can only increase over time. The values for common indicator 01 for France are not shown in the above chart as the reporting for this Member State is done in terms of final energy instead of primary energy.
