Vor einem halben Jahr hat die Europäische Kommission das Europäische Solidaritätskorps auf den Weg gebracht, seit März 2017 werden Freiwillige an Solidaritätsprojekte vermittelt, und nun startet auch die Besetzung von Tausenden von Arbeitsstellen und Praktika.

Digitale Sozialversicherungsdaten: Rascher und einfacher Austausch von Sozialversicherungsinformationen in der EU und darüber hinaus
Heute startet die Kommission die neue IT-Plattform EESSI (Electronic Exchange of Social Security Information – elektronischer Austausch von Sozialversicherungsdaten), über die rund 15.000 Sozialversicherungsträger der EU-Mitgliedstaaten sowie aus Island, Liechtenstein, Norwegen und der Schweiz elektronisch miteinander verbunden sein werden.

Europäische Krankenversicherungskarte: 40 % der Versicherten haben sie bereits
Laut den jüngsten verfügbaren Zahlen von 2015 verfügen mehr als 200 Millionen Europäerinnen und Europäer über die Europäische Krankenversicherungskarte (EKVK bzw. EHIC). Das entspricht rund 40 % aller Versicherten in den meldenden Mitgliedstaaten. Die Karte gilt in den 28 EU-Ländern sowie in Island, Liechtenstein, Norwegen und der Schweiz.

Successful and inspiring projects financed by EaSI and its predecessors – Sixth Commission report
The European Commission published its sixth monitoring report in which it reviewed 18 projects in the fields of social protection and inclusion, employment, working conditions and European job mobility. These were funded under the EU Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI) and its predecessor programmes PROGRESS and EURES.

Commission proposes €3.5 million from Globalisation Fund for former Microsoft Mobile Oy workers in Finland
The European Commission has proposed to provide Finland with €3.5 million from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to help 1,000 former Microsoft Mobile Oy workers to find new jobs.
