The trade fair SIAL Shanghai will be held in the Shanghai New International Expo Center from May 18th to 20th, 2023. With an exhibition area of 180,000 m2, it is expected to attract 4,500 exhibitors and more than 150,000 professionals from all over the world. The fair covers food, beverages, catering ingredients, and hospitality services. The IP Business Advisor at China IP SME Helpdesk will attend the SIAL in Shanghai, to approach EU SME and SMP SME exhibitors to present its free services and answer any enquiries by the exhibitors.

The European Patent Office (EPO) has developed a new set of innovation case studies covering a total of three cases to highlight the importance of good intellectual property (IP) management and smart IP strategies to facilitate the exploitation and commercialisation of novel technologies to fight cancer. Based on these case studies, the subsequent seminar series aims to illustrate how patents facilitate technology transfer from R&D-conducting organisations and promote market success. Spotlighting two of the new cases, this kick-off event will set the scene for the upcoming training sessions, which will deal with each of the studies in more detail.
