Horizon IP Scan – Info Session

The Horizon IP Scan is a tailored, free-of-charge, first-line intellectual property (IP) support service provided by the European Commission (EC) in order to assist European start-ups and other SMEs involved in EU-funded collaborative research projects to effectively manage and value IP in collaborative R&I efforts. The 20-minute info session aims to provide all interested parties with background information on the EC's innovation support initiative, as well as information on its advantages and the application procedure.

 
EU Business Support – Latin America

Eurochambres and the Latin America IP SME Helpdesk are glad to announce the online event “EU Business Support – Latin America". The event will mainly focus on the benefits of the EU-funded projects supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and Business Support Organizations (BSOs) that are interested or already active in the Latin American market. During the session, the Latin America IP SME Helpdesk, ENRICH in Latin America and Caribbean, the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator and AL-INVEST Verde will present their activities and/or their services.

 
GreenOffshoreTech Brokerage Event

GreenOffshoreTech is a Cluster Facilitated Project with the purpose of supporting innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), fostering development of the emerging Blue Economy industries. Featuring a virtual matchmaking and a brokerage event, this year the GreenOffshoreTech is open for all SME, enterprises, research institutions and universities as well as NGOs, who would like to connect, exchange ideas and find out about potential cooperations in the blue economy. As Latin America IP SME Helpdesk Team, we look forward to meeting SMEs and start-ups and introducing our free-of-charge services on intellectual property (IP) protection as well as enforcement in Latin America.

 
EU India Leaders Conference 2023

The Europe India Centre for Business and Industry (EICBI) is hosting the EU India Leaders Conference 2023 in Brussels on 5 July 2023. The conference is organised in acknowledgment of the ongoing negotiations for the India-EU Free Trade Agreement. The event serves as a platform for leaders from both India and the European Union to come together and discuss various aspects related to trade, business, and industry between the two regions. During the conference, there will be a presentation dedicated to showcasing the India IP SME Helpdesk.

 
Virtual Worth Exhibition 2023

The WORTH Partnership Project II is funded by the COSME Programme of the European Union. WORTH creates and supports transnational collaborations between designers, creative people, manufacturing enterprises (SMEs), crafters/makers, and technology firms looking to develop design-driven and innovative products. The virtual WORTH Exhibition will take place between 3 and 7 July 2023 to inspire, empower, and connect visionaries and creatives. On 6 July, in a dedicated "IP Day" session, together with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the European IP Helpdesk team will provide insights into the strategic use and successful exploitation of intellectual property rights.

 
High-growth Technology Business Forum 2023 – Build-to-sell

The European Patent Office (EPO) and the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) are organising a new series of High-growth technology business forums. Leaders from deep tech businesses present their live case studies online and discuss them with an international panel of experts. The one-hour session is followed by an optional meet-the-speakers gathering. The upcoming forum "Build-to-sell" is specifically aimed at business decision-makers who either want to or are required by their investors to eventually sell their business.

The European Patent Office (EPO) and the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) are organising a new series of High-growth technology business forums. Leaders from deep tech businesses present their live case studies online and discuss them with an international panel of experts. The "build-to-sell" forum is specifically for business decision-makers who either want to or are required by their investors to eventually sell their business. It focuses on three intellectual assets: technology, brand, and operational excellence. The one-hour session will be followed by an optional meet-the-speakers gathering.

EPO Training Coop: From Lab to Market – Smarter Prognostic Tests for Early-Stage Breast Cancer

In this last session of our "From Lab to Market" training series with the European Patent Office (EPO), participants will learn how the collaboration between two Irish professors resulted in a new multi-parameter prognostic test for early-stage breast cancer that helps clinicians confidently determine the best treatment options. The session offers insights into the importance of smart IP strategies and management to facilitate the exploitation and commercialisation of novel technologies to fight cancer.

 
EPO Training Coop: From Lab to Market – A New Dimension to Skin Cancer Diagnosis

As a part of the "From Lab to Market" joint training series with the European Patent Office (EPO), we will take a closer look at the case of Damae Medical in this session. The spin-out from the French Institut d’Optique Graduate School has worked with a patented imaging technology to create a new medical device for real-time diagnosis of skin cancer. The session will highlight how a strong intellectual property portfolio of patents, trademarks, know-how, and design rights helps the company ensure technological exclusivity and secure lasting advantage over competitors.
