AQUA TECH 2023

Aquatech Amsterdam is the leading trade fair for water technology in Amsterdam, serving as a central forum for experts, professionals, and companies specializing in the latest trends and developments in the water industry. The fair mainly focuses on innovative solutions and technologies for the water industry. Our team will be present at the event to meet European small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and introduce the free-of charge first line intellectual property (IP) support services provided by the India IP SME Helpdesk.

 
Trade Fair | The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE)

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is a trade fair hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The 6th CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5th to November 10th. This is one of the biggest trade fairs in China. The fair will facilitate participation in terms of customs clearance, inspection and quarantine, provide long-term one-stop transaction services online and offline, and strengthen protection of intellectual property rights to safeguard the rights and interests of merchants. The China IP SME Helpdesk IP Business Advisor will visit the trade fair to advise EU SMEs and SMEs from countries participating in the Single Market Programme with IP-related questions and to present the Helpdesk’s free-of-charge services.

Webinar & EPO Coop: Patent Protection for EU-funding Beneficiaries – Digital Communication

We are happy to announce the fourth session of the "Patent protection for EU funding beneficiaries" lecture series organised in co-operation with the European Patent Academy. Each lecture explores the interface between patents and the respective technical field. This session will focus specifically on Digital Communication and introduce the main aspects of intellectual property (IP) management: notably IP ownership, protection and exploitation. EPO Event: Observatory on Patents and Technology – Boosting Startups with Intellectual Property

The very first event of the European Patent Office’s new Observatory on Patents and Technology will explore how deep tech start-ups can harness the power of intellectual property (IP) rights to drive innovative solutions and attract investment. In the event, a new study (in cooperation with European Union Intellectual Property Office) assessing the use of patents and registered trade marks by European startups, and the impact of those IP rights on the startups’ funding and exit strategies will be presented. The EPO will also introduce to the audience a new digital tool enabling the identification and search of startups based in EPO countries that have been filing European patent applications.

Intermediate-Level Webinar in Cooperation with the CPVO: Denomination Examination and Procedure at the CPVO

To obtain a Community Plant Variety Right, it is mandatory for the applicant to propose a valid variety name as a designation for the plant variety. A variety denomination must be deemed suitable in order to be accepted, where this is so if no impediments to its registration arise. This webinar will provide an overview of the nature and function fulfilled by the variety denomination, as well as insights into the application procedure for proposed variety denominations (from submission to the CPVO until registration).
