Back EU Labour Force Survey - Principal results 2004 - Issue number 9/2005


The employment rate in the European Union for people aged 15-64 was 63.3% in 2004, compared to 62.4% in 2000. The employment rate for older people (i.e those aged 55-64) reached 41.0%, up from the 36.6% registered in 2000.On average in the EU-25 13.7% of employees aged 15 or more had a limited duration contract.These figures are derived from the European Union Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS).
