The comparability of imputed rent - Products Statistical working papers

When assessing the reliability and comparability of imputed rent measurements, one crucial question concerns the private rental sector in different countries. This paper assesses the effects/constraints of institutional background factors on existing tenure statuses in particular and, consequently, on determining the rents on private market rental dwellings in European countries. In addition, the paper describes the methods which have been used for calculating imputed rent price values for dwellings outside the private rental sector.
