Quality report on National and Regional Accounts — 2016 data - Products Statistical reports

This document presents the Eurostat’s assessment of quality of national and regional accounts for the year 2016 transmitted by the EU Member States, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland as well as quality information on own publications of European aggregates. The quality assessment was carried out in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 549/2013 and represents the first assessment since the start of data transmission according to the European System of Accounts (ESA 2010) on 1 September 2014. Data transmitted in 2016 were in broad terms in line with the ESS quality standards and the ESA 2010 requirements. Many Member States coped relatively well with the new data requirements and methodology even if the process of adaptation of national data compilation system continues by 2020.
