26 July 2021

Last month, Eurostat published a monitoring report on the progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in an EU context.

How is your country doing in this regard?

The topics addressed by SDGs touch many parts of your life, the life of your family and friends as well as your country's future. Do you want to know how your country fares in regards to living and working conditions, education, climate change or innovation?

You can find out in the new visualisation tool ‘SDG country scores’. Select a country to see where it stands compared to the EU average and whether it has made progress over the last five years:

For more information:

Sustainable development aims to achieve a continuous improvement in citizens’ quality of life and well-being, without compromising the well-being of future generations. This involves the pursuit of economic progress, while safeguarding the natural environment and promoting social justice. For these reasons, sustainable development is a fundamental and overarching objective of the EU and the progress towards the goals agreed at UN level is regularly monitored and reported.
