Do you know some of the most popular species of fish caught by EU Member States in 2017? To mark World Food Day, here are the top 5 species caught in the North East Atlantic area, which was the source of three-quarters (76 %) of EU fish catches in 2017. The remaining fish catches came mostly from the Mediterranean and Black Sea (9 %) and the Eastern Central Atlantic (6 %).
