OECD video on World imports of pirated goods
The OECD published a video presenting main data on imports of counterfeit and pirated goods. It show that imports of counterfeit and pirated goods are worth nearly half a trillion dollars a year, or 2.5% of global imports. US, Italian and French brands are the hardest hit and many of the proceeds go to organised crime, according to a new report by the OECD and the EU’s Intellectual Property Office.
