Mr Antonio Golini will temporarily lead Istat - European Statistical System (ESS)

According to a note from the Presidency of the Council, Antonio Golini will temporarily lead Istat until the process of appointment of the new President of the organization will be completed following Enrico Giovannini's resignation as a result of his new appointment as Minister of Labour and Social Policy.

Antonio Golini, emeritus professor of demography and Accademia dei Lincei, previously held the position of Chairman of the Commission for Protection of Statistical Information (Cogis).
