Information aux statisticiens
L'épidémie de COVID-19 a eu des conséquences sur la capacité des autorités statistiques à collecter et traiter des données de façon traditionnelle. Les enquêtes en face à face sont remplacées par des sondages téléphoniques et sur Internet. Les prix observés nécessaires à la compilation de statistiques sur l'inflation sont plus difficiles à collecter, voire, pour de nombreux biens et services, inexistants. Les effectifs sont réduits par la maladie et les responsabilités familiales, tandis que le recours massif au télétravail impose des contraintes en matière d'infrastructure technique.
Eurostat et les autorités statistiques nationales travaillent ensemble pour mettre au point des lignes directrices visant à répondre aux difficultés méthodologiques générées par ces changements. Ce travail garantit que les statistiques européennes continuent d'être fondées sur des bases solides. Notre objectif est de nous concentrer sur les solutions et d'aider directement les statisticiens officiels de l'UE et des pays de l'AELE, mais aussi les statisticiens du monde entier.
Cette approche méthodologique réunit toutes les nouvelles lignes directrices et notes méthodologiques publiées par Eurostat et sera régulièrement mise à jour à mesure que de nouvelles lignes directrices sont créées.
