31st CEIES Seminar - Products Statistical working papers

The.31st CEIES seminar "Are we measuring productivity correctly" was held on 12 and 13 October in Rome, Italy. It brought together data users and data producers concerned. The aims of this seminar were to:
- to give an overview of the state of the art in measurement of productivity worldwide,
- to identify major challenges for statistics with a special focus especially on the adjusted Lisbon goals and gaps in the European Statistical System,
- to discuss and to describe its impact on the current System of National Accounts,
- to brainstorm alternative solutions, including possibilities as well as limitations.
The outcomes of the seminar served as the basis for addressing relevant recommendations to Eurostat which were adopted at the CEIES plenary meeting on 17 November 2006.
