Waste generated and treated in Europe - Data 1990-2001 - Products Statistical Books

This is the second publication made by Eurostat on the generation and treatment of waste in Europe. This study presents a set of official statistics using as a principal source the joint Eurostat/OECD Questionnaire (2002). For some countries, this data has been complemented with data provided in national publications from Member States. This publication is divided into six main sections: Introduction, Total waste generated, Industrial Waste, Municipal waste, Hazardous Waste and Recycling/packaging waste. Each section provides some figures and graphs intended to analyse the main characteristics and problems of these fields of waste statistics.
