The Eurobarometer special surveys on undeclared work conducted in 2007, 2013 and 2019 provide a unique insight into the trends in the undeclared economy in the EU.  

Examining these surveys, this report evaluates in the EU-27 the prevalence, characteristics, distribution and trends over time in
- undeclared work,
- under-declared employment
- bogus self-employment

Il also provides an evidence-based evaluation of the trends in the effectiveness of different policy approaches.
