Seit der Einrichtung durch die Europäische Kommission vor einem Jahr haben sich 42 745 junge Menschen aus allen Mitgliedstaaten für das Europäische Solidaritätskorps angemeldet. 2166 von ihnen haben in 1434 Einrichtungen ihren Einsatz bereits angetreten.

Die französische Stadt Lyon erhält den „Access City Award“ 2018, weil sie die Barrierefreiheit ins Zentrum des städtischen Lebens gerückt hat
Anlässlich des Europäischen Tags der Menschen mit Behinderungen gab die Europäische Kommission heute bekannt, dass Lyon (Frankreich) den diesjährigen Access City Award erhält. Die Stadt wird für ihre inklusive und universelle Barrierefreiheit ausgezeichnet.

Präsident Juncker und Ministerpräsident Löfven zeigen auf, wie es nach dem Sozialgipfel weitergehen soll
Knapp zwei Wochen nach dem Sozialgipfel vom 17. November in Göteborg ziehen der Präsident der Europäischen Kommission, Jean-Claude Juncker, und der schwedische Ministerpräsident, Stefan Löfven, Bilanz. Der heute veröffentlichte Abschlussbericht dient als Grundlage für Folgemaßnahmen zu dem Gipfeltreffen, die mit der Dezembertagung des Europäischen Rates ihren Anfang nehmen.

8th FEAD Network meeting: ‘The many faces of FEAD’
The 8th FEAD Network meeting took place in Paris on 13-14 November. During the two day event, members discussed the ‘many faces of FEAD’ across EU countries and the possible implementations of the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived (FEAD) programme post 2020.
