Inducement prizes are used to spur innovation by setting a concrete, ambitious target without specifying the path to reach it. They aim at stimulating new forms of collaboration to deliver a cutting-edge solution.
In the Work Programme 2014-2015 of Horizon 2020 the Inducement prizes are implemented by two measures:
- Calls for inducement prizes: calling directly for participating in a prize contest.
- Coordination and Support Actions (CSA): calling for organisations that assist the Commission on the definition and implementation of Inducement Prizes.
For finding opportunities to participate in prize contests or to assist the Commission in implementing prize contests, please use the "search funding & tenders" of the Funding & Tenders Portal with the search term "prize".
For Model Rules of Contest for Prizes, please see the part F of the General Annexes to the Work Programme.
