Statistics, telematic networks and EDI bulletin - Products Statistical Books

The aim of this bulletin is to describe the activities of the statistical sector in the DSIS (distributed statistical information services) framework for the following areas: development of information services or data-processing systems in conjunction with the Member States;
telematic networks and related services, such as electronic mail;
EDI (electronic data interchange), and its integration into the process of collecting and disseminating statistical information;
new technologies used in statistics (e.g. CD-ROM, multimedia, Internet technology);
standardisation activities, particularly the work of the EDI message development group (EEG6-statistics), which Eurostat is running within the UN/Edifact standardisation bodies.
